Ever heard the quote "If we were meant to stay in one place, we'd have roots instead of feet"?
Sounds innocent, until you realize that's the universe telling you to START. MOVING.
We all know that's easier said than done. So many of us get stuck in this rut of 'I don't know where to start' and 'I don't know if the direction I'm going in is right'. And trust me, I feel ya.
Getting uncomfortable is well, uncomfortable. In doing this, we're actively breaking habits and retraining our mind to expand to new capacities. Our minds know only what our bodies have been through, so this whole 'start moving' concept can seem pretty overwhelming pretty quickly.
Your mind starts to play tricks on you - the 'what if' game seems to never end. You get in your head with all your doubts and previous failures, and before you know it you convince yourself to quit, or even worse - never even begin.
I can't tell you how many people (clients, friends and family alike) I've worked/spoken with where this was the only thing keeping them from pulling the trigger and moving forward with bringing their vision & passion to life.
The pressure of getting it right. The stress of long hours and late nights spent researching (tip: get used to it). The constant choice to pursue this thing and prioritize it over social hours, binge watching Netflix, and weekends sleeping in.
But this is where the magic happens - in the mindless hours that cumulatively add up to well, nothing if that's what you're doing in your so-called 'off time'. These are the defining moments that show your true self discipline, the validity of your words, and what your long-term goals truly are.
Don't squander these precious hours - you've got one life, let's make it worthwhile together and get started on the path of self discovery and greatness. And the best part?
Sharing it with others.
Growing pains are meant to yield true results and change. Gain it all - the only limit is the one you set.
